Community Support Fund

Over the past few years, SSN has raised nearly $20,000 through community support, events, and fundraising efforts. While our direction has evolved over time, our commitment to supporting the LGBTQ+ community remains the same. We want these funds to continue creating meaningful impact by giving back directly to the community that believed in and supported our mission.

What This Fund Supports

This grant program is intended to reduce barriers, support inclusion, and strengthen LGBTQ+ community wellbeing and participation within the Niagara Region.

LGBTQ+ Identity & Affirmation:- Gender-affirming clothing/items
- Binders, packers, gaffs, etc.
- Name change/document update fees
- Pride flags or identity-affirming items
- LGBTQ+ educational resourcesCommunity Participation & Connection:- Transportation support related to LGBTQ+ events/services
- Participation in LGBTQ+ community events
- LGBTQ+ support group participation
- Queer community workshops/programs
- Community-building activities
- Youth participation in LGBTQ+ programs/eventsCommunity Projects & Initiatives:- Small LGBTQ+ community events
